is it creepy to look at a bf's ex's ring?

So my bf and I disagree so I'm turning to the interwebs for opinions. Say your current bf was previously married/engaged and your relationship is moving in that direction. Is it creepy to look at the old flame's social media profile for a glimpse of the ring he got her? Not looking to start an argument or compare necessarily. More out of curiosity and plain nosiness.

Honestly, I can see why you would do it. In hopes that you don't get a similar one or whatever. I personally wouldn't want a ring that resembles what he got for his ex but at the same time if I had never seen her ring before and just so happened to like the same design then so be it.

You shouldn't do it. As much as the curiosity eats at you it's not worth it, all that's gonna happen is your gonna compare the ring he got her to the one he gets you and then base his love for you from it.

I would look just to compare, i do not think its creepy. But thts just me. However, I looked at photos of my now husband with the girl he nearly proposed to right before they broke up and he met me. Seeing the two of them together was heartbreaking. Needless to say i never even asked about crappy ring he bought her, because i knew one he bought me was substantially better!

I had seen pictures of the ring he got his ex because i had seen pictures of them when they were together and engaged. I didnt actively go looking for it and this was in the early stage of our relationship. He talked to me about what kind of rings i liked as far as size cut the color and bought the one that he felt i would like.

Don't do it lol. I have creeped my husband's Facebook up and down when we first got together because him and his ex were together for 4 years and I know he's lied to me about some stuff so one day I just hardcore creeped lol 🙈 and let's just say, it hurt more than I thought it would and I didn't like the things i read. And the worst part of it was that I couldn't confront him because I didn't want him knowing i just stalked him from like 2 years ago lol
