Spotting does not count as first day of period?

So glow said I was suppose to start yesterday but... the only thing I noticed was that I barley spotted.. it was light brown looking.. I also spotted once Monday afternoon.. not sure what is going on with my body. Maybe I'll actually start today..? If not I'll be on day 33 out of a 30 day normal cycle..
