confused??!!?? help please

I'm not new to glow but I've not posted anything yet. So here it goes. I've just turned 40 and we are ttc. I had and iud and it was taken out middle of August. I immediately started doing opk and bbt. For the first few cycles I was getting peak fertility every month. Well I felt like something was wrong (one of those women intuition things) cause I really thought I had conceived and then when I started it was a period like no other! Bled bright red blood and a lot of it. I went to the doc and she tested cd 3 and all was great. Egg reserve is 84 and then she tested my progesterone cd 21 and it came back as a 7 so she thinks I'm not ovulating. I'm going in to the doc today to figure out options. I'm in my fertile window now and taking opk and I'm getting only high fertlilty but no peak. I'm on the 4th of it. Any advice? I'm so frustrated right now!
