Irregular Periods!?

Am I the only one? Mine only comes every 2-5 months. I'm 21 years old and it has always been like this. What is qrong with me!?

You're in the same boat with me girly! However, I gained 70+pounds super fast due to a bad job and some depression that came with it. I went from 135 to 230 in a year and half. Now I'm down to 206 and I'm feeling some cramping. I'm super hopeful that this will help regulate me. I used to be 31 days exactly every month when I weighed less than 170. I also started taking vitex to try to help regulate me. I went a full 6 months with no period and the only help my doctor gave was I can put you on birth control. My husband and myself are trying to have a baby so that was an immediate no. Now I drink way more water, eat a little better and that seems to have had the most bearing on my cycle. I sometimes feel like I'm struggling, but then I step on the scales every morning and celebrate the small wins and adjust my water intake Accordingly. I've lost 3 pounds in 2 days. Yay me!

If you have a weight issue like me, a good eating plan may help. If you are thin, you may be too thin for your body to function correctly (I've been there before too, I'm 5'10 and at one point i weighed 110). If you aren't either of those I would suggest going to your doctor and getting on birth control or clomid depending if you are wanting to ttc or prevent. Otherwise just try vitex, evening primrose oil, or maca root (I'm going to start that next month). All of those are supposed to help regulate and shorten your cycle without putting a bunch of chemicals in your body. Vitex cut my cycle from 174 days to 56!! I'm hoping it will continue to cut it more

I could be wrong but I think if it's always been like that you're fine. I would still ask your doctor if you're concerned something is off. 🤔

Thank you! I might be too thin. I don't eat much. Sadly food is expensive as is everything else in NYC, so I almost have to starve myself becayse of this. I'm going to work on my diet and definitely take my vitamins. Thank you!!!
