What's the difference?

I know the difference between a miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy but I'm wondering if there is a difference in the bleeding and if you have contractions with a ectopic like you do with a miscarriage? Like did you have a lot of clots with a ectopic or was is just blood? I'm very cerious on this, can't seem to find a good explanation on the internet. Any input would be appreciated ☺ thanks in advance!
