8lbs 5oz! what to pack?

So I'm 38+ weeks and I'm getting induced on Wednesday due to a "big" baby. She's weighing at 8lbs 5oz. My question is, will she fit into newborn clothing? I'm packing newborn and 0-3 months as well but I just want to know what other people experienced.

She'll def be able to fit into NB clothing. My son was 8 lbs 8 oz and he wore NB for a good month and a half. Good luck, Hun!

Congratulations on the induction ! To answer your questions, yes ! Newborn clothes normally go up to about 13-14 pounds ! The baby may not be able to wear it long, but, you can surely get the newborn experience with the clothes !

That's an average sized baby! My kids have all been over 8lbs. Definitely will fit into newborn clothing.

Yes but not long. Don't take the tags off and wash just a few pieces.
