yeast infection or std

I've been really itchy down there and there's always a thick white discharge in my panties and it hurts during sex and I've been experiencing a fishy odor during and after sex and that's never happened before. I have a doctors appointment this Tuesday but I can't stop over thinking and worrying. somebody please help me ease my mind a little
