Needing suggestions....

So my last pregnancy was 12 years ago, I haven't been pregnant since and not for lack of trying... but now I'm wondering what were yalls first steps you took after you realized you may need doctors involved on getting pregnant. For 3 months I've had periods every 16 - 20 days, so far I'm doing good this month with being on time.. what steps did you take to get pregnant after a long wait of not bung successful.
