trying for baby no 2, baby 1 just turned 1!

Hello! I made it to a year of nursing! Yay! I got my first post partum period a month ago. Trying for baby number two! Did a lot of trying, fun!, this month. Wondering how long it took others to conceive after post partum period returned? I'm hoping I ovulated! I am a day late for what would be my typical period, but I know they can be irregular. I took a test this am and negative. I had some cramping on Friday and I thought AF was coming, but didn't show, now I was hopeful it was implantation! But negative test. Looking for insight, and stories of others!:-)
