My GD fasting numbers were always fine, but during the last month started slowly creeping upward (still fine, but trending higher). So I read various places that ice cream before bed helps...and I am VERY happy to report that it does help, for me at least! Since I started they have averaged about 10 points lower every morning.
Disclaimer, I tested my reaction to ice cream several times before this bc I didn't want to cause dangerous spikes for hours while asleep. I seem to be totally fine with ice cream, my 1 hour and 2 hour readings after are steady and rarely over 100. Ice cream seems to be working for me, but of course don't take this post as actual medical advice lol
I will say it has improved my disposition greatly since I realized I could eat ice cream!!!
