needing major advice ladies!

So my best guy friend has recently expressed that he wants to get an apartment with me. Ok not too scary of an idea EXCEPT hes breaking up with he gf of 6 months to do so (because he knows she isnt "the one", his words not mine lol) anyway and we have messed around a few times before. We never let it get awkward between us and we're super close but im just trying to weigh the pros and cons of doing all this. we talked about the fact that since we've messed around before, if we lived together it would happen regularly. and were both ok with that but what if i catch some feelings? i know its a definite possibility. we also said that neither one would bring anyone home to hookup with and we both agreed on it. but the whole moving in together is his idea! he even wants to get a dog together.. im super into the idea of all this i just need some outside opinions! what do you think his intentions are? am i way overthinking this?
