Lanolin

Are you supposed to use lanolin the entire time you breastfeed or just during the sore/cracked nipple phase?

I'm 12 days pp and in the beginning I NEEDED that lanolin.

I'm still using it after almost every feeding, sometimes I forget but I want to know if I need to buy more or not. I got a total of four .3 oz tubes from the hospital and I have 2 that I've been using from and 2 that are unopened. Once I'm out will I need to buy more or am I past the cracked nipple phase.
