How do I tell my boyfriend I'm depressed?  He's being so sweet asking me what's wrong. But I don't want to make it all a bout me! How do I tell him?

Ive suffered from depression since high school and the guy im with now gets confused by it but i will literally just tell him im having a bad day, im really down and i dont know why and there isnt really anything that will change that right now. He gets frustrated that he cant male ot better but hes also come a long way in understanding what depression really is so talking about how it affects me has helped alot

I got really depressed last year so I just told my boyfriend what I was feeling and exactly what I wanted to hear when I came to him next.  I told him to say things like, "I'm sorry that sounds hard. Wow, what can I do." Most guys don't really know how to respond to emotional need without guidance, so teach him what u need so her CAN help be a support for you.  He doesn't have to fix it but just being educated is comforting
