When did you start giving your LO baby food?

My daughter just turned 4 months on the 6th and I can't wait until she's ready for baby food! I know they say to wait until 6 months of age to give baby food. Baby girl has an appointment the first week of January so I plan on asking her doctor then when she suggests to start giving baby food. I'm just curious as to when other mommies have started their baby on baby food.

Honestly when you're a new mum you can't wait to try foods. BUT after a couple weeks you wish you'd waited because it's just another thing to add to the endless list of things to do before leaving the house 😉

My doc told us to at 4 months, but just tasting it really. We waited until 5 months though cause it seemed a bit early to me.

Never. My son just ate normal healthy foods, lots of fruit and veg .

First foods were mashed banana, fingers of toast, boiled eggs mashed with butter, thick home made soups.

He loves healthy home made food, Hes a great eater up til now and he's 3 and a half x

Started at 5 months cuz we got a high chair pretty early so he could sit near us while we did stuff (one of the tiltable high backed ones) and he kept going "num num num" with his mouth when he saw us eat. We just purred whatever we were eating and learned to season after taking out his portion. He didn't really take to it at first. He would beg for food and then be like "ew what is this". Didn't really take off until after 6 months. I've found he definitely like sweet foods like fruit and kinda just tolerates veggies. We are holding off on meats until after 9 months.

We started at 5.5 months. Our baby was really interested in our food. (at subway one day, he grabbed hold of my sandwich, tried to put it in his mouth and wouldn't let it go!) He also wasn't seeming full after feedings either. That was a sign his dr said to watch for.
