cool mist or warm mist?

Which kind of humidifier should I just cool mist or warm mist? And what brand? Thank you !

I used the Vicks Starry Night Cool Mist Humidifier for 3 years straight & loved it. It was the first & only humidifier I ever had to buy for my son. My mom ended up buying the same exact one to have at her house when we visited. She ended up using it for herself too, when we weren't there & again now, since my son just turned 4.

It's reccomended that we use cool mist because of the risk of baby being burned by the steam or the hot water spilling. I have a Crane brand cool mist and I also have a Vicks warm mist(haven't used in years). They both serve the same purpose, one just has less associated risks than the other.

I use Vicks cool mist filterless ... the warm mist is known to build up mould and so are the filters

We love the crane. It's a pain sometimes to clean but if you just empty it every day and clean regularly it's great. It does cool baby's room off considerably though since it is cool mist. We would have gotten a hot steam one if we'd lived in a cold climate when our first was born. It won't hurt baby as long as you keep it secured and up out of reach like it should be anyway. There are pros and cons to both.

I have cold mist humidifier from vicks but not so great... we got a vicks vaporizer (warm mist) and love it!!

Cool mist is best. I have an elephant and a frog, don't know the brand but they work great

Warm mist. I have one by Vicks. Make sure you keep it clean and change all the water out or else it can grow mold / bacteria.
