Do you give your 6-7 month old table food?!

My son has been eating puréed food since 3.5 months. He's now 6.5 months and seems to be getting bored of it. I've offered him baby teething cookies but he gags (not chokes) on them. Also tried giving him a tiny piece of bread. Also gagged. Just wondering if any of your babies are eating table foods successfully. How did you introduce them? Did your baby gag while learning? MAIN QUESTION : Do you give your babies table food?

She eats actual table food with us (bread, veggies, and fruits). She gagged at first but now she just gums it and eats it that way. If we don't give her table food she gets antsy because she wants to be like mommy and daddy. She's starting to understand the concept of meal times and wants to join in. I think it's awesome! I just watch her very close when we give her stuff at the table.

Gagging (not choking) is part of the normal process for them to learn eating. Keep trying with tiny bits very soft food

He is really interested in our food. To the point where he will cry if we don't share. So we will occasionally tear off tiny bits of food for him to try. He loves it. But he mostly drinks breastmilk, and has a container of purees and some cereal throughout the day.

My baby eats actual baby food veggies and fruit and I've made my own sweet potatoe baby food and I've given mashed taters that's all I've given her of table food I wouldn't dare give anything else.

I'll give my son some of whatever I'm eating. He also takes purees. He gags still but my doctor said his reflex is just so high he will always gag.

We started purees at 6 months & started giving soft whole foods (mostly fruit) about a week after, he much prefers the finger foods!

My girl has been interested in what the rest of the family eats for quite a while she still has purees but if she is siting with us she will try to take food off the plate so we give her little bits yesterday she has little bits of fruit at an restaurant we were having breakfast in pkus she ate tint but of steak mostly fruit and mushrooms
