Have you ever had sleep paralysis?

Last night, I was almost asleep, and my eyes were open, and I could see my boyfriend lying next to me, but I couldn't move. I could hear the entrance alarm going off in the apartment. So, there was an intruder, and I was trying to wake up my SO by shaking him or screaming. But I couldn't move or make a sound. It was SOOO scary!!

Only once, and I happened to be sleeping next to my mom. I was able to breathe out some sounds over and over and my mom reached out and touched me and then I was able to move again. It was terrifying!! And we had just watched the Ring 2 so I was convinced I was going to die hahaha

It's happened to me a few times, normally when I'm home alone and during the day napping. I'll be asleep but in my dream my eyes are open but I can't move or scream, it'll look like my room and it'll sound like a door has opened and I hear footsteps on the carpet. Terrifying. I'm always so thankful when I really wake up.

I have this happen every now and then. Usually I can kind of move my head but that's it. It's a really scary feeling.

My husband used to experience sleep paralysis/astral travelling just about every night when he was living with his parents and they were renting a place that we had a lot of freaky, spooky stuff happen at. I experienced it twice in the same house, one time seeing a dark figure at the end of our bed reaching for my legs and I couldn't move or make a sound, and the second time seeing my grandad who has passed a couple years previously sitting on the end of the bed.

This happened to me once, but hasn't since. It was a little nerve wracking, but I didn't have any alarms or anything. I just went back to sleep and woke up fine later.

I wouldn't quite describe mine as sleep paralysis but I have these dreams where I'm laying in bed and I think I'm awake but there's a lot of different things going on around me (different people I haven't spoken to ina while and even my husband) I then think I'm waking up but I can't fully wake up, it's like I'm stuck asleep and everytime I think I'm waking up in not. I keep trying to run my eyes but everything's blurry and I can barely open my eyes or see anything.  I know this is hard to follow but it's so hard to explain and I have no clue what it is!
