Biological kids vs. Adopted kids

Now I'm not so sure on how to word this so bare with me. I've been having this debate with my SO tonight and now we're both curious on how others think about it, so who better to ask than a community (partially) filled with parents and people who are TTC?

My SO and I wanted to know if any of you feel there's a value(?) in having biological children over adopting? Is there a reason you would put having biological children over adoption?

Also, if you were to adopt, does age matter?
