In the hospital at 40w and 1d!

My due date was Dec 14th, and while I was sad that baby girl didn't come in her day (unlike her momma, I arrived right on my due date 😊💁) I was happy knowing that I would see her soon. My feet and legs had been really swollen for a day or two, and then I woke up the morning of the 15th with a massive headache that wouldn't go away. I called my doc because at my last apt they wanted to keep an eye on my fluctuating blood pressure, and they had me come in. Cervical exam showed I wasn't anymore than 2cm and about 75% effaced, but my blood pressure was a concern so I ended up in labor and delivery! It's now 12:30am on 12/16/16, they gave me cervadil at 8 and possibly starting pitocin in the morning, we will see how my pressure goes! I'm having a hard time sleeping being hooked up on the monitor, but I'm going to try and get some rest. I am anxious to meet my little girl, but I also want to let my body do this the way it was designed to. If they want to send me home after the cervadil, I'm okay with that! We'll see what happens in the morning! 😊💗
