Generation X vs millennial

I think generation X are those who were born 1963-1982 and millennials are those born between 1984-1997. Was watching survivor and it got me thinking.. are we really so different? I'm a millennial and I feel like we're more the generation to go out and live our dreams. We're not afraid to think differently. What do you think?
