I am a cosmetologist and one of the things I learned in school that flakes like these can be 2 things...if it just falls out easily and doesn't stick it is dry scalp not dandruff and you can try different shampoos I like head an shoulders for mine...now if it is dandruff it will be hard to get out and sticky/ oily feeling. If that's the case then you need to know dandruff is a fungus and the only way to get rid of it is with a medicated shampoo or something like tea tree oil.. While some things may reduce it the only way to treat it is a medicated shampoo so go to your doc

Head and Shoulders is good and if that doesn't work use Neutrogena T/Gel. It smells bad but it works so well. Massage it in and let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing it out.
