Inducing laws?! Do I have the right

I will be 38 weeks Friday and I'm extremely tired of being sick and in pain. I get worser each week and I cannot take it any longer. Do I have the right to ask for and induction????

You can always ask but unless there is a medical reason most doctors will not approve it. You don't have the right to demand to be induced.

Unfortunately no the baby has rights too and they won't induce early unless baby is in danger

It's not a law per say, it's for the health of the baby and unless yours it's life is threatened, your comfort level is not a reason to induce. It's also up to thnot doctor, who could be all good for it, but normally unless there's a medical reason, they don't till your passed due.

I think it depends where you are but where I'm at you have to be 39 weeks to be considered full term and they won't schedule anything before that

Im 37+ 5 wks and had severe hyperemesis and chrohns disease falred up around the clock with cholastasis and im not accepting iron through transfusion my body keeps dropping too low. I requested my csection brought forward from 39 wks (29th dec booked) and was refused upon grounds of safety for baby. Yet im suffering awfully. I can barely get out of bed. Vomit at least 20 times in 24 hrs. Sick of daily injections which dont help. I know your pain and its challenging. I am awaiting a call tmrw from head consultant and im praying shes bringing me in but not getting my hopes up. We have no right to demand unfortunately but all you can do is ask the head consultant. Upon medical grounds even its not always given permission look at mine and they wont so far its a joke though. Hope you get your wish

I asked my doctor and he is not the type to hold back what he wants to say, so he said well then you might want to get your tubes tied to because if you can't handle it now then you shouldn't consider having more kids afterwards lol I was like well thanks for your opinion.

My doc where I previously lived set me up for induction with both my kids. Although I was dilated and effaced pretty early on. So with my daughter she scheduled me to be induced on my due date tho she didn't think I'd go that long and she was right. With my son, she asked what I wanted and I said to be induced. (Same situation, I was dilated and effaced a good deal with him as well) so we scheduled his induction for 6 days prior to my due date. I went into labor on that day before I even made it to the hospital to be induced. Now I'm in another state and 8 weeks preg, I talked to my new doc about issues with my son when he was born and so she offered to induce at 39 weeks. I think every doc is different but both mine have been willing to do it
