period at festivals

Hey girls,

So I am scheduled to have my period on the 29th December till the 2nd January. I am going to a festival on the 28th -1st and to be honest I can't think of anything worse than having my period at that time.

Option 1. Take the contraceptive pill now (1 week prior) so it stops my period and works as a form of protection.

Option 2. Do nothing and deal with it.

I know this is a first world problem but I don't want to feel bloated when I'm there and scared if I take the pill now it may mess things up and It will make me bloated for the festival. Am I over thinking this? Should I start the pill now? All suggestions are appreciated xo
