How did your preeclampsia start? is this normal?

Rachael
First, my doctor is out of town until after Christmas so I couldn't call my doctor for his opinion. I have had off and on High Blood pressure readings and have always been instructed to go in and get monitored if it is over 140/90. The last time we noticed that when I lay on my left side my BP drops to a normal rate so the nurse said to only check it at home on my left side on my right arm. This morning my husband checked it with our manual pump and stethoscope and he is an EMT and atleast knows how to do this correctly. My BP was 170/100. I went in and it was 124/58 at first and then I felt like I was going to pass out in the bed and saw stars and then it was 145/95. The first nurse was just as concerned as I seemed to be because I also explained I have had like four of these episodes. Then another nurse came in and told me my urine looked like I needed more water and I was fine. I said okay and she went on to say I needed to bring my BP cuff in so she could show me they aren't accurate most of the time and she doesn't believe my BP was that high this morning. I then heard the first nurse call out to her that I had trace amounts of protein in my urine. She left and called the doctor and came back and when I asked about my urine test she said I was being defensive and She was on my side and it was her job to worry but there's no crystal ball to say if I will ever develop preeclampsia. She then did blood work and diagnosed me with pregnancy induced chronic hypertension and when I asked about my urine again she said She didn't like it and I need to drink more water and my blood work was fine and then told me not to take my blood pressure at home anymore. I asked a third time and she danced around how my urine result came back. If this is normal and protocol I have no issue! I would much rather be home with my family for Christmas and I needed to get to work anyways. I've had swelling and a headache and dizziness but these are all fairly normal in pregnancy so I have blown them off. I just can't shake this awful feeling and almost feel like she was trying to be sweet and not worry me since my levels weren't high enough to diagnose much but I guess I'm wondering if anyone else had this and everything went on fine or if they ended up with preeclampsia. I had no protein at all in my urine two days ago and didn't have any high blood pressure until around a week and a half ago and am 33 weeks. Sorry for such a long post :/
