Anybody else coparenting?

I'm 33 and 9wks with first baby- it was a bit of a surprise and daddy and I have decided to be friends but are committed to coparenting. Is anyone else coparenting from the get-go? Or afterwards? It's different from single parenting because the decisions are made together, but not as close as romantic partners.. Any advice or experiences to share?

I am a "step mom". I would say it's a bit like co-parenting in the begging. What I can tell you is you need to communicate!!
Things you agree on

Ear protecting for girls!
What if your son wants to grow out his hair?
Circumcision.

When your child is older if dad took away say a favorite toy for a day or two. You need to back him up and vise versa.

I am fortunate that my husband backs me up even if he thinks I'm a bit harsh at times (removing ALLLLLL the toys from their room and early bed time). And discuss you're disagreements away from your child.

I was kind of coparenting at first - in my mind hes my son and i watch him 24/7 but i did want dad to input.... we didnt end on good terms so it was hard. He was my first love. My first and it was jut plain hard to be civil with him with the way everything ended....

Unfortunately my son lost his dad when he was arounf 18 months to.suicide...

i now parent with my so who could be called a stepdad but he is just dad to my son.
