Ultrasound tech said I'm measuring 8.6 instead of 9.3?! Anyone experienced this before?! We paid out of pocket today for an ultrasound before my first prenatal appointment. I wanted confirmation before telling family on Christmas. My appointment with my doctor is in 7 days. I just couldn't wait. The tech made a comment that I was measuring smaller than 9 weeks and 4 days. She said the baby was so tiny but the heartbeat is strong at 158. ❤️❤️ What are your thoughts?!

Very common. We don't always know when the exact moment of conception happens and due dates are just educated guesses using an old formula. Being off by a couple days is no big deal. Congrats on your pregnancy! Enjoy sharing the news with you family, what an exciting time!

It's very common when you think you got pregnant could be off and you're really not as far as you think you are.

You'll measure ahead and behind all during your pregnancy. Baby grows in spurts. Unless baby constantly measures one way or the other by more than two weeks (three in the third trimester) your doc won't be concerned nor will your due date change.
