L&d visit

I went to the L&D per my midwife's orders because I was having contractions, cramping from the back to the stomach, and a little spotting. By the time I had got there the spotting has subsided but not the pain. I know I had contractions because this is my second child. I had them a week ago and they had to give me a series of shots to stop them. Now, when I get there they tell me my heart rate was high, never going down past 130. But they seemed to not care about the other symptoms. I get monitored for four hours. The nurse finally comes in and says oh you had no contractions, I'm like really. Then she goes to refer me to a cardiologist and discharges me. When I leave I look online and it says I had sugar in my urine. That was never mentioned. The whole experience has me dumbfounded. I feel like they didn't do their job. And I had to leave work for this. Am I tripping?
