I really want to be with my boyfriend, but I'm just looking out for my mental health, and my career
Pros: 
-I'm head over heals for him 
-he gives me confidence 
-he's sweet, funny, charming, and fun
-he'd do anything for me, and vise versa
-I can see a future with him
-we're both in metal bands and have a lot in common especially with music 
-His family loves me, and mine loves him
-he's my best friend

Cons:
-friends and my therapist say he's verbally and emotionally abusive 
-I may be kicked out of my band if I stay with him , and that would devastate me
-he gets extremely jealous 
-I feel isolated from the rest of my friends
-he passive aggressively posts about me on social media when we have an argument 
-he controls what I wear to my shows 
-he threatens to kill himself when he's not getting his way 
-he likes Nickel Back 😂😂 lol but seriously he threatened to kill himself because I innocently made fun of nickel back, not knowing that he liked them. 
-I've grown into a weaker and quieter person ever since we've started dating

I went straight to the cons list and the first con of everyone telling you he is emotionally and verbally abusive should be your first and last red flag. Listen to the people around you. I recently left a long term relationship of 3 years (fiancee, almost husband) because i was being told he was mentally and verbally abusive toward me and it opened my eyes. I am a whole new person. I am happier and healthier than i ever have been and have been able to find myself again. I didn't realize how shy and quiet my ex had made. Ultimately it is your choice, but do what is right for you and your health!
