False labor :-(

Last night, I had contractions that went from 7 to 4 minutes apart for 3 hours long, they got stronger and closer together over time. Called the doctor and she wanted me to come to the hospital right away. As soon as we arrived the contractions were irregular, of course. They hooked me up on the monitor, did see contractions were still going, but not in the same pattern that I was tracking them before. 1cm dilated, -2 station and 30% effaced. Doctor said it could take 24, but also another week. No indication whatsoever. I felt like my baby was fooling me. I brought my doggy to the sitter late in the evening and my husband was all stressed. I wanted to avoid wasting all of our time, but it is what it is, I guess. When are you coming my baby??
