crazy in laws

My husband and I just got back from a mini vacation in Arizona visiting his parents. It was the most busy and non-relaxing vacation ever. We were constantly running around trying to meet up with everyone and spend enough time with his parents and our friends down there. They also hosted a baby shower and no one showed up for the first hour. My in laws were supposed to invite friends and coworkers and they had absolutely no one show up :/ there were also no pictures taken during it of the shower. We almost didn't even open presents. And we didn't even cut the cake. I felt like it was all sporadically thrown together and between my sister in law not paying attention and my mother in law only caring about herself I hated it :( my mother in law was also upset because she didn't get to feel my son kick at all while we were there. He chooses who he kicks for and who he doesn't kick for. He kicked a ton more but never while she was around. She doesn't really treat me like family so I wasn't too surprised. I'm happy to be back home though for the holidays! :)
