Any moms have cats? Wondering what you do to keep baby away from litter box, but still allow access for the cats. We have the litter boxes in the basement, but do your cats just jump over baby gates?

This is my first. But my sister lives at home with our parents and her 2 year old daughter. There are 3 cats living there. Litter box is in the laundry room. There are baby gates in multiple rooms and two of the three cats can jump over them. The third is old and pretty fat. So if he needs in to a room he just meows to have the gate opened.

We have a section of our house that is sectioned off with baby gates that have cat doors in them. Keeps dogs and babies away.

Our cats jump over the gates. We keep one litter box in the laundry room-baby shouldn't be in there anyways. The other is upstairs in our closet, we have the opening facing the corner so that the puppy can't get in to it- I think that will keep the baby out of it too.
