TTC #1

So I need some advice. I'm currently 7 days late on my period and way too nervous to test because I don't want to be disappointed if it's just late. But I have no symptoms of it coming other than a very sore lower back and mild cramping. My last cycle only last 2 days before it went away. I haven't spent much time thinking about it because it may all be in my head. I've never been this late before tho. My cycle is also 35 days and I'm on day 42. Should I just test?
