weird period

So I stopped having sex In August. I've gotten my period and everything but for the past few months it's just been odd. November I was sick and it was like kinda on the pad but not as heavy as it usually is. And December it was semi normal but again it wasn't as heavy as it was. I have been in the pill for almost 3 years. And I just had sex this Sunday. Please help
