Does your baby reply to your belly taps? ( Prenatal Parenting Discussion)

Hey everyone and nice to meet you! I'm Veronica, 23yo 18w3d with my first, a boy.

I went on a seminar about prenatal parenting where doctors and researchers discussed the facts around the intensity of the baby's perceptions in the womb.
They told us babies usually reply to gentle taps on the belly with the same amount of kicks. I've tried this for a couple of days but the little one never seems to kick after I tap my belly.
So I'm curious if it actually works for others. Does your little one reply to your belly taps?

Additional food for thought:
1. According to researches, babies also seem to recognize music that the parents have played often to the child while in the womb. Has this happened to you?
2. Some folks tell stories that babies who've been called a certain name during pregnancy and got a different name after birth usually answer only when they hear their original name. Has this happened to your or anyone you know?

My baby (now 3 months old) usually replied when I tapped my belly. Often they're sleeping, it only really worked when he was already moving around.

I watched wrestling my entire pregnancy so he was exposed to that music and noise in the womb. It must've been comforting when he was born because his first couple weeks he would fall asleep within minutes of us turning a wrestling show on.

He also loooved being read to when I was pregnant. I'd start reading my book out loud and he would go crazy in there, it was hilarious. He still loves being read to, he smiles and laughs when we're reading now.

My lil girl replys. We tap different spots on my stomich and she will kick those different spots. Also my other half can put his head in one spot, even if she's been quiet she responds to his voice and wakes up, moves around. She loves to kick and get up in my ribs. My other half will tell her to move that's she's hurting mom and she freekin moves. It's unreal but she does it every single time.

My mom said that I did every time she tapped her belly. My baby replied sometimes, but not every time.

My oldest did, but I am pretty sure he was just annoyed that I wouldn't leave him alone.  He paid me back for all that prenatal pestering by crying for the first 18 months.
