Cold medicine

First pregnancy here.. I'm 7 weeks and 6 days. My first appointment with my Dr. Isn't until 9 weeks. I've come down with a terrible cold.. lots of nasal and chest congestion. From what I'm reading there aren't any safe cold medicines for the first trimester. Any suggestions on what I can do to help? I feel terrible :(
