Stretch Mark Prevention?

First time mom here.  I'm almost 21 weeks, definitely getting a little bump but not HUGE yet.  I feel like I should be using some kind of lotion or cream now to prevent possible stretch marks.  Suggestions?  Thanks in advance!

No lotion or cream is going to prevent stretch marks, no matter what the product says or what anyone tells you. However, even though it is genetic, there are things you can do to help prevent them. I gained a lot of weight, and quickly, with my first two babies and got a TON of stretch marks.
With my last two, I ate healthy, worked out, drank a gallon of water a day, and kept my weight gain to a minimum and slow and steady...and didn't get a single one. I also had an easier time losing the weight after.

The biggest thing is staying hydrated. So with everything you could possibly do, make sure you are drinking enough water!

They say it's genetics. My first pregnancy I didn't get any & my 2nd I was called covered. Bc I didn't try thinking my genetics were good lol. Get some unrefined coconut oil at grocery or health food store. Spoon some into a little squeeze bottle. When u shower, leave it on the floor so the heat melts it. (I add veg glycerin to mine, it pulls moisture fr air into ur skin) Slather it on after u shower. I do it this way to prevent a mess. And use it all over, just not my face- but my BF puts on his face & has great skin. So far I'm bout 7mo & doing good. No itching on belly either :)

Elasticity of skin is genetic the only thing you can do is stay hydrated and apply lotion if you get itchy for comfort

Unfortunately nothing you can do to prevent them! Either you get them or not. Mostly genetic 😀 crime will help with itching and moisture 😀

I went to Thyme Maternity and got their Marcelle brand stretch mark cream. I don't have any yet either but I put it on after a shower
