when do you announce?!

First time pregnant- found out 5 days ago I was 7 weeks 😧. You could only imagine our surprise. Well now that the shock has settled, I'm looking forward to telling everyone and their mother. But I'm most excited to tell my husbands family because they have been wanting a grandchild for so long- his nana especially. I don't want to wait too much longer and something happens to nana since she's been in and out of the hospital. What would you do?! Any way we should make a special announcement ?!

I have told close family as soon as we found out both times. I leave the social media and friends I don't see all the time until after 12 weeks. My rule is if I wouldn't want to have to talk to them about a miscarriage then I won't share it with them until 12 weeks.

This is my 3rd pregnancy I had an mc in 2015. With my daughter my husband was so excited he put it on fb. Well that didn't go smoothly with my mom she fussed about it. The 2nd one she was the last to know for not being able to tell her and afraid from last time. This time I'm going to wait till Valentine's Day and give a gift to his mom and mine. Hopefully this time it will go smoothly. Try Valentine's Day or earlier with a lil gift

We told immediate family only (parents and siblings) between 7-10 weeks with our first. I'm pregnant with our second and I'm a little over 7 weeks and we told my family yesterday and telling husband's family today.

This is my first real pregnancy, and it's an unpopular opinion but I told all of my friends and family within the first few days after finding out. A few years ago I thought I was pregnant, it was never confirmed before I had what I believe was a miscarriage. I only told my now-husband, and I felt so alone and suffered in silence. I would never want to go through that again. I also have wanted a baby for SO LONG and it really felt like it was never going to happen for me so everyone around me knows how exciting this is for me and my husband. I will only be 6 weeks tomorrow. We are planning on making it public after the first ultrasound later this week, as long as everything looks good. I did already tell my boss and few coworkers as well because I work at a vet where there are risks and things I shouldn't be doing, plus I know I will get sick etc and I need them on my side. When to tell people is a very personal decision but I know most people choose to wait a while. I just couldn't because it's such a blessing and I know if something were to happen I would need support.

We told parents and siblings immediately,  everyone else will wait till after the ultrasound. I'm somewhere between 6 and 8 weeks so want a little more clarity.

We told our families on Christmas when I was 8w. I have my first appointment on Tuesday when I'll be 9w3d and we're going to tell our close friends then. Going to wait as long as possible to tell me boss because he can't keep a secret ever, so we'll probably tell work and the rest of the world around the 12w mark! Getting closer.

I've announced to family but was going to wait until after I went to the doctor to announce to others, but my 3 year old told his teachers in the nursery at church this morning that I was going to the hospital to get the baby out of my tummy today. 😳 I couldn't lie about it, so I had to tell them. This is going to be a LONG 9 months for him!!

I haven't told my family yet. I will not until I have a picture and I'm in the clear from possible miscarriage. We will probably announce at the end of January or February.
