finding time to pump???

Question

I just can't seem to find the time every 2-3 hrs to pump. How are you ladies managing your time? I think I get too caught up with the little guy and I forget to pump. (Also, he had lots of problems latching, so we are trying to feed him breast milk via bottle.)

Any advice is welcome!!!

Ask your lactation nurse from the hospital about helping with your baby latching mine helped me while I was in the hospital and  gave me some pointers that I've been using at home

I pump just before every feeding so it's part of a routine. Pump, diaper change, bottle, enjoy baby time!

My little man took a couple weeks to latch to the boobs. And being in the nicu and then coming home then back cus he had a slight temp. So its been crazy. So i pump when i can, but have been giving him both breast milk and formula, so hes now accustomed to formula just in case i stop supplying, since my left boob doesn't produce much from the start.

I'm finding it near impossible to consistently pump.  My 3 week old has a crazy feeding schedule.  Sometimes he cluster feeds every hour and a half, others he'll go 3 or 4 hours without nursing or only does a small 10 minutes or less feeding and falls asleep, so then I can actually pump.  I just shoot for doing it when I can, not on some specific schedule.  Baby is going to be a better way at maintaining supply anyways, so as long as he's feeding every few hours and I get a good 3-5 ounces for the day from pumping I don't stress about pumping on a regular schedule.

I am finding this difficult too. With recent developments (my mom is in cardiac ICU right now), I am about to just give up finding time. The stress is about killing me.

I was managing to just make sure I pumped in between feedings. Since he was eating about 3 oz every 3 hours, I was making sure that between that feeding and the next I pumped at least 3 oz. It was working. I would wait till he went to sleep so I could wrangle the toddler so I could sit for 30 minutes (also good considering I had a C-section 3 weeks ago and still need to take it easy!). I would also set alarms to remind me so I had time to kinda get ready to pump. That helped the most...
