iron infusion.??

Has anyone ever had an iron infusion done. My dr office called today and I have one scheduled for tues the 10th. When my blood taken for the first time my iron was 11.5. Then at glucose text it was 10.5. And had to have a recheck to see if taking extra iron tablets was helping and it dropped to 9.9. I have to have one infusion done once a week for three weeks. Takes 90 mins each test. 😞
