So my husband and I have 8 month old twins and I am still breastfeeding but we are trying to have another baby so they are closer in age. My question is has anyone gotten pregnant while breastfeeding without having their period?

You ovulate before you get a period. So you can get pregnant before you get a period, breast feeding is not 100% when it comes to preventing pregnancy.

I'm proof that breastfeeding is not a good form of birth control lol. My mother was 5 months post partum when she conceived me using breastfeeding as her only birth control!! It was great having a sister so close in age lol

I think breastfeeding usually stops working as a "birth control" after 6 months. However if you haven't got your period then I would say it's a slim chance you getting pregnant.

I got my period back at 8 months when I stopped pumping at work. Im still breastfeeding at 12 months and I'm not on birth control. I'm kinda surprised that I haven't gotten pregnant, but my period is a little irregular too. Good luck!
