What to do when your first love destroys you?

My first love over the years has cheated on me, told me he loved me and never put the effort in, gave me mental breakdowns a lot due to wondering why he didn't tear me like I treated him, let me go months texting him and calling and begging for him to talk to me and not responding, told me how sorry he is for doing that and is now doing it again.

He originally said he needed isolation because his family member died, but then that lasted 3 months and eventually him talking to other people, but not me, posting on social media, etc. I sent my voicemails and texts last night. It's now 1 PM of the next day and I see he's liked pictures on Instagram, but hasn't responded.

Work on yourself. Heal before you go into your next relationship otherwise you are sabotaging it before it even begins bringing baggage from the previous and blaming the new fornwhat the old one did. Work on your self esteem, self worth and confidence. Get a job. Babysit. Walk dogs etc. Volunteer. Read to the blind or children in a hospital. Organize a neighborhood clean up. Feed the homeless at a soup kitchen. Giving back will make you feel needed and they will appreciate it. Read books. Learn a language. Finish college get a good job. Then you can worry about men. They take longer to grow up. Be patient. And forget boys when you are young. College and under most likely are not looking for relationship. They are looking for hook ups and girls they can use and string along. Forget them and focus on yourself. Keep your head up
