braces and cost help?

I know this isnt really related, but i need advice , im working part time , and i really really need braces , I have zero confidence in my smile and im always hiding my laugh..I live in canada and as you all know our dental here is shit..  any one have any tips?

I live in Canada too ! Are you in school ? Sometimes through school benefits you can get them cheaper or free ! Do you have benefits at work ? Probably not because I think you need to work a certain amount of hours every week in order to have benefits . Would you consider going to full time ? It takes about 6 months to qualify at any job for benefits . OR .... you could check with universities and other schools because if you get them done by a student a lot of the time the cost is a lot cheaper .

I live in Manitoba, mine were $4,700 but 80% of the whole cost was covered by my parents dental plan with their work. They can be up to $8,000 - $12,000 I think without any coverage
