Getting married young???

Question

So my boyfriend told me I'm the LOVE of his life and he wants to get married and have kids with me. I completly feel the same way for him. BUT he graduated high school last year and I'm almost done.

He wants me to move in with with after I graduate. He wants to get married and start our life together ASAP . thing is, I'm not sure what being married at 18 will be like. Any advice? Is this crazy?

I'm 29 years old and my advice for you is have a lot of fun , travel , live and then get married and have kids I'm not saying it's not nice to be married and have kids but you will not be able to do a lot of things after 👶-

I've never met a couple that was fresh out of high school and had a successful marriage. First off, you don't have enough of your own money to get anywhere. You live off your parents still until you're graduated from college basically, because they're the ones paying for you to go there. That being said, just because I've never seen it succeed doesn't mean it's impossible. Of all my friends and family, the couple I know that got married the youngest and are still together were about 22 when they got married. You change a lot in your college age years. You could both become completely different people. I would suggest waiting. Say like for a year until after he graduated high school. If you still want to get married then, go for it

Don't do it yet. There is a high percentage that you both will change and turn into different people over the next few years. I know it's sad to think and it doesn't happen to everyone, but for the majority of us, it's actually a good thing. I thought the world of the person I was with at 18, but things didn't work out and I'm so happy they didn't because I'm 26 now and would no way want to be with the person I was with then. Again, not saying this goes for everyone, but I just think there's no rush to get married. Enjoy your youth. Go to college. Start a career. Those things are easier to do if you're not married and have kids. And you can provide those kids with better opportunities if you're older and have a career/money saved. Kids are really expensive. Also, if I still haven't convinced you, let me at least try to persuade you to live with him for at least a year before you get married. You really get to see who a person is in way that you can't if you don't live with them. Believe me, living with an s/o can be extremely challenging so I suggest just trying it out before tying the knot.

I got married at 18 and my husband was 18 too. Now we r 21 still insanly in love but I do hear mulitpul stories on ridiculous situations for young married couples divorce just because this age is the age of selfishness.

My wedding is July 7th 2017. My Fiancé and I started dating when I was 17 (Now 19) and he was 20 (Now 22). I've gotten a few comments about marrying young but honestly, we've been living together since before I graduated high school and if you feel like he's the love of your life you should go for it. I felt that same way at first....I just think it's cold feet and takes a bit to process.

in my religion we get married at 17 so if you love him go for it every marriage has ups and downs no matter what age you are but it will take some adjustment i been married 15 years
