We tried for 2 months on our own, after tracking my cycles for 6 months. After the first month of trying I weaned my 2 year old daughter. Because we got pregnant right away with her, I was a little stumped when it took some extra work. But the more I learned about longer irregular cycles and a longer fertility window it made sense. Because of my longer cycle I suspected I wasn't ovulating until day 18 of my cycle. On month 3 we decided to try an opk. Clear blue advanced. Sure enough it predicted that I was most fertile between say 16-18 of my cycle. And even though my husband literally had knee surgery the day prior to my peak fertility, he soldiered on. Must have been Christmas magic!!! Feeling so thankful and blessed to have found out yesterday that we are pregnant.
