Guy help?

So there's this guy I like and he's a great guy but he's really sarcastic a lot of the time and I honestly don't know how to talk to people like that without sounding mean (even though I dont mean to). can anyone help me out?

Embrace it (unless he's just being mean). I've had an on and off relationship with a friend/ex/idk for 7-8 years now, and he's is so sarcastic and confusing and just plain out hard to love. But what I've learned is that's just who he is, and he needs someone to accept who he is and go with it. When he is sarcastic to me, I'm sarcastic back. Sometimes it triggers him, but he's not actually mad about it but what I say is true. We end up laughing about it and just picking on each other constantly. It keeps a little life in things.
