I have no plans to ever leave, and always feel like my husband and I can work things out, but I wouldn't stay just because we have a child(ren). Most of the time, you're doing a disservice to your children by having them live in instability. Many people think two parent households are healthier, but what is healthiest, is peace.

My parents were toxic for each other, and my mom finally left my father when I was 7. It changed who I was, yes, but specifically made me less fearful of the situations that would arise between my parents and what my reaction had to become.

It sounds like you might be thinking of leaving a situation. If there is abuse of any kind, not just physical, I would definitely not stay, but lots of turmoil in relationships can be repaired through therapy and mediation. Just a suggestion.

We have an 8 month old and couldn't stop arguing. I moved out (round the corner) and we now share care. We've stopped arguing and started to remember why we fell in love. We both get a break from our child and sleep. We have a happy baby and sanity. Best decision ever made
