early labor

I was admited to the hospital on Monday. I was having contractions 7 min apart all day. When I got there they did an exam and I tested positive on a test that says if I am in jeopardy of delivering in the next to weeks. They gave me 2 shots and I have been on bed rest taking pills every 4 hours to delay contractions. Today is my first day back at work and I am having the contractions and discomfort again. Anyone have an experience like this if so did u deliver shortly after? I have heard people say they didn't and went over by 2 weeks after this type of situation.
