can the ultrasound give wrong gender ??

I went for a private ultrasound today to know the sex of the baby 
They told me that I am having a girl
I have a three years old girl and this pregnancy is completely different from my first daughter pregnancy so I was sure that I am having a boy 
But I was shocked when they told me it is a girl 
I want to ask you can the technician was wrong ??
I can't believe that it is a girl

I was told girl @ 15 weeks.  At 20 it was clearly a boy. You can't go off symptoms, but early ultrasounds aren't reliable either.

How far along are you? Around 16/18 weeks it's pretty accurate, before then there's a chance of error  (happened to my friend, was told girl but had a boy)

That's a girl. The 3 lines means girl. My baby boy clearly had boy parts by 12 weeks.

Each pregnancy is different. You can have many of the same symptoms as before or none at all and still have the same gender baby. For my pregnancy with my son my acne and morning sickness was so horrible and lasted the entire pregnancy. This time I'm having twins, one of each, and while it seemed like it was starting out the same it's changed completely. The differences are loud and clear but if I think about all my symptoms I still do have plenty of the same ones as before just on a much more milder scale.

I have 2 girls and my pregnancies were very different from each other. I thought my second would be a boy but nope. And depending on how far you are that really looks like a girl to me. But if it's still really early there could be a possibility I guess. This was my little guy at about 17w that I'm pregnant with now he was always pretty obvious
