chewing on ice/sexual need?

Im a nurse and my doctor says chewing on ice is a psychological sign that youre in need of sex .... and also obv means anemia .. has anyone heard of the sexual sign though?

It's typically associated with iron-deficient anemia. I'm an RN too, and never heard of the 'sex' reason.

My background is psychology and I can assure you that I have never heard of the "sex reason". Plus this sounds like an inappropriate comment for a work environment...

Hmm I have chewed ice my whole life. I will finish my drink and instead of getting more drink I just eat all the ice out my cup. Never been told I have anemia or and iron problem. As far the sex part I get more then enough.

Wait. I've chewed ice all my life and my son does, too. My soon was just dx'd with anemia. I've been dx'd years ago, but it hasn't shown up on labs in ages. My mind is blown.
