I wasn't sure I was in labor until about an hour before she was born

Sarah
I wasn't sure I was in labor until about an hour before she was born. It felt like menstrual cramps and it was not regular. Contractions were 8 minutes apart then 2 then 6 so I thought it wasn't true labor. By the time I realized it was real my husband picked me up and we drove to the hospital and I was scared I was going to have her in the car. We got there and I changed clothes and tried to pee and my water broke everywhere. I yelled at a nurse to check me NOW and 10 minutes later she was born. we delivered our baby girl within 17 minutes of arriving at the hospital. No pain meds or antibiotics. I am positive for strep B and did not receive antibiotics because there was no time. Now they will be monitoring her very frequently to make sure she does not develop GBS infection which can be life threatening. So far so good. Our baby is Madelyn Rose Kendall. 7lbs 7oz 21 inches long. And she is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.❤
